This is the Centrance Mixerface R4. It’s a unique combination of Mobile Mixer, Recorder, and USB Audio Interface. It makes for a sweet little travel mixer and backup for your normal set up. Always have a back up.
It’s got a rechargeable battery that makes it your ideal companion on the road. Perfect for podcasting, vlogging, streaming, and a ton of other uses including but not limited to…voice over marketing videos.
Musicians use MixerFace to record album tracks. Radio journalists use it to record interviews. Houses of Worship use it to stream services. Podcasters use it to record all over the world. And I use it in hotel rooms in my custom made pillow fort.
In this video I take you behind the scenes in my voice over studio and show you some of the fun toys. This is my recording studio…my WhisperRoom!
Since 1990, WhisperRoom, Inc.™ has manufactured Sound Isolation Enclosures across the world to major TV networks, federal governments, medical labs, musicians, and weird voice over guys’ basements for a myriad of applications. Wait…do that say medical labs?
The prefabricated acoustical enclosures present a handsome and professional appearance made with three quarter inch MDF, precision cut to ensure accuracy of the component fit and are covered with an attractive, durable, charcoal gray, cloth material…that our cat Rosie used as a scratching post. (RIP Rosie)
Its got a ventilation system I don’t use and their website says some components used to manufacture the WhisperRoom contain formaldehyde and I am just reading this now?
Their booths significantly reduce ambient and acoustic noise but are not soundproof. So if you don’t treat it properly you end up sounding like you’re in a coffin. And if you get a model any smaller you’ll feel like it too!
This is the “899” and retails at about $6,000. I got this baby off of Craigslist for $1000 from a woman in Tennessee who was starting a demo recording business for karaoke singers. And I promise uphold the legacy of the previous performers that have stepped into these hallowed walls!
Bill Stage VO; Welcome to the Party, My Friends!
Radio Imaging and Commercial Voiceover Artist
Welcome to the party, my friend! Relax, kick back, grab a beer…
Let me tell you a bit about myself. I’m still close friends with the guys I hung out with in grade school. I’ve stayed tight with them throughout the years for some of the same reasons my clients connect with me. If you’re looking for a trustworthy, reliable, easygoing drinking buddy with a voice to match, I’m your guy!
I’ve chilled with Coca-Cola and Corona, worked hard with John Deere and Wrangler, and gone deep with Nissan and SAP.
Think of my voice like the end of a good party. We’re on the edge of a cornfield, the majority of the group is asleep and the brake lights have disappeared down the dirt road. Casual, familiar, down to earth. This is the time of night when the line is blurred between friends and family, and the conversation gets deep. It gets sweet. It gets…real.
Welcome to the party, my friend!
